Beach events created an awesome temporary urban beach in the middle of a field at the iconic Isle of Wight Festival in June 2013.

With an authentic beach bar serving original cocktails and beach stage showcasing  up and coming new bands such as The Waylayers and The Loveable Rogues, we catered for thousands of happy festival goers under sunny skies in Penny Lane.

Highlights included Leroy Thornhill from The Prodigy’s DJ set on the Saturday night as the fire jugglers performed. The huge crowds that appeared for The Loveable Rogues who gave a typically cheeky and personal performance, and the highly addictive Smokin Apple Pie cocktail!

Oh and the marriage proposal on stage, congratulations to the loved-up couple from Notts.

Costa Blanca and Jet 2 Urban Beach

Jul 25, 2013   //   by Steph   //   Beach Builds, Blog, Sponsorship Activation, Temporary Beach Build  //  No Comments

Back in May, Beach Events were asked to help the Spanish Tourist board to promote the sunny resort of Costa Blanca and Jet2 in Glasgow.

We built them an urban beach in the city centre with a Jet 2 check-in booth and provided promotional staff to engage with the public and talk about the highlights of Costa Blanca as a holiday destination.

The adults and children of Glasgow loved finding a beach in the middle of the city and plenty chose the Costa Blanca for their next holiday.

Isle of Wight Festival Beach

IOW-Festival-Beach-Events_Party

In 2011 Beach Events joined forces with Solo and created the first ever beach at a major music festival.

‘Lifes a Beach’ at the Isle of Wight Festival was an instant hit with festival-goers and was bombed out at all times.
Luring the punters was an authentic beach bar serving cocktails, a sandstage, café, deckchairs, massage, sand sculptures and Zumba classes, all on a huge temporary beach.
2012 saw ‘Lifes a Beach’ return, this time twice the size!
I.O.W 2013 plans include a sheltered area for possible rainy days, although the I.O.W Festival is known for booking the sunshine.

Life's a Beach- IOW Music festival

IOW Music Festival

Due to popular demand this year sees the return of Life’s a Beach at the UK’s favourite music festival.

We’ve imported 400 tonnes of sand to create an urban beach in the middle of Penny Lane to create that holiday vibe that only the beach can bring.

This year see’s a few changes to ‘Life’s a Beach’, firstly due to its popularity last year the beach is larger, it will also be home to the Kinetic Playground featuring a roundabout, seesaw, bikes and an 8ft human hamster wheel (seriously have to try).  All the energy generated from this frantic activity will power the entire beach area, so come and do your bit for the environment whilst enjoying the party of the year.

The Life’s a Beach stage will feature live reggae and ska and there will be fire- eaters and sword swallowers performing at night.

Bring me sunshine!!!

Cocktail Bar Hipshaker

Come and sample the best cocktails in the hippest venue at the iconic Isle of Wight Festival.

This year Beach Events and Hire the Barman are shaking it up with a cocktail bar in the Hipshaker tent at this years IOW Music Festival.

The Hipshaker is a firm favourite of the festival featuring funky music from soul to ska to disco to reggae.

On stage will be Three Belles, Ska’d for Life, Jessie and the Orbits, New Street Adventure plus many, many more.

The cocktail bar will be run by professionally trained staff who will be dazzling with their artistic skill and flare and amazing with their bubbling ice specials!
The Cocktail bar will be featuring the Bacardi Mojito, the Hubba Bubba, the Smaokheart, Banana Colada and of course The Hipshaker.

Hope to see you there

Beach-Events & Solutions

The weather on the IOW has been shocking all day, but right now it seems to be picking up, lets hope the rain stays off so we can crack on with the beach build at the IOW festival.
